Visual designer and communication strategist with an experience that ranges from projects with agencies to teaching and academic research.
After graduating in Communication Design , she received her Ph.D. cum Laude in 2013 at the School of Design in the Politecnico di Milano. During her Ph.D. internship Elisa had the opportunity to work at the MobileLife Research Centre, mainly focused on service and interaction design for mobile devices, at the Stockholm University and at the metaLab in Harvard University in the field of digital humanities. She presented her research and didactic results in several conferences and publications around the world.
For more than eight years Elisa collaborated with the Master Degree course in Communication Design at the Politecnico di Milano. Her interests are in designing systems and in innovative multimedia languages able to engage users.
She joined the faculty of Domus Academy in 2016 as the program leader of the Master in Visual Brand Design developing communicaation projects in collaboration with national and international brands such as Conde Nast, The Coca-Cola Company, Viking Cruises, Slowear, Fondazione Achille Castiglioni, Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia “Leonardo da Vinci”, Tucano, Kartell, Casa Martini, Bombay Sapphire, Reebok and Google.
Apart from this, Elisa works for several communication agencies as a freelance consultant specializing in concept, development and management of communication projects that are able to offer strong and engaging brand experiences.
During her training and professional career she had the opportunity to learn techniques, languages and research methods in order to design different types of artifacts and communication devices: from the fundamental visual tools to interactive platforms and narrative spaces.
Elisa firmly believes that design activity should be dynamic and capable of taking input from the environment and the society in which we live with the purpose of developing innovative solutions: Design is curiosity, hybridization, observation and collaboration.
